Update from Writers Block

I thought you guys might like to know how production is going. Well, we're on the final stages of Act 1 now. In order to ensure we meet our deadline, and that you all receive a quality game, we're pulling a few all-nighters and placing our entire team on the guinea pig role of testing. As of this moment, everything is going as scheduled.  Check in after the break where I've answered a few questions that have been popping up on the forum. We've also added a new page to the site about Act 1.

Q: Is "Welcome to Ponyville" over after Act 1?
A: Not even close. Act 1 is the introduction into the world of "Welcome to Ponyville."

Q: Are there really going to be just three acts?
A: Originally, that was indeed the plan. However, after delving into the amount of time it takes to create this game, Raishy and I have decided it will take many more than three to tell these stories.

Q:What kind of pony do you plan on playing as?
A: Just look at me! I'm a pegasus stallion all the way.

Q: Can you turn off voice?
A: Yes, but I don't recommend it. For one, this will shorten your play-through time a bit. We can read much faster than a character can logically speak. Two, the voices really help bring out the spirit of the game. With voice actors such as TheJamJar, RobotButterfly, PrincessRil, Rina-chan, MissBunniSwan and Wollffeey, (to name a few) you're in for some very entertaining interactions. Granted, we do not aim to have clones of the original voice actors. I specifically cast voice actors and actresses that could capture the characters. I aimed for talents that could give real emotion to the various characters in the game. This being said, if anyone is willing to donate enough cash for us to purchase the licensing and hire Tara Strong and company, I'm certainly willing to release a version with them. (Just messing with you guys)

Q: When is the release date already?!
A: This will be announced later in the day on Monday the 17th of September.

  1. Its been 23 minutes and thus later in the day, when's the planned release date!?
But seriously, take your time to make sure it's up to snuff. Don't want it to come out with hidden bugs that can ruin the entire game/computer now do we? I know I don't!

  2. Oh my God. Just sitting in college right now, and it's the morning of the seventeen, and I'm freaking out so hard.

  3. I haven't been this excited for a visual novel since Katawa Shoujo came out.
