ReplyDeleteIt says I'm missing a file, "d3dx9_43.dll" to be exact.
ReplyDeleteI think there are some flaws, but in general I like it so far c: You guys must have put a lot of work into it. Good job!
ReplyDeleteGetting the same issue as Rainbowjack.
ReplyDeletedamn, i already finished it.... i would pay money for this....
ReplyDeleteplease come out with another soon! it was soo good!
Same issue as the two above. Anyone got a fix yet?
ReplyDeleteI downloaded it, extracted it and ran "Welcome to Ponyville.exe".
ReplyDeleteBut I can't play it. It crashed before window's appear.
I don't know why. Is it unable to run on windows XP? Or, my Japanese-Language-Machine can't run it?
It may be the language settings, if the folder try making sure theres a folder called "saves" in the main folder, it may be having problems creating the save directory.
Delete"Saves" folder exists.
DeleteSo, I changed my OS's language into English, and it's working. Thank you for your assistance.
This game is so goooood <3 Are you guys planning to tweak the volume levels at some point? Some of the voices are a little quieter than others. If you're all busy with coding and things then I'd happily do it for you myself if need be.
ReplyDeleteWe have an experienced audio engineer who has done a very good job. As this is a fan made game, and our staff is not paid, we can't expect everyone to purchase high grade microphones. There is only so much editing we can do.
DeleteOh hey, I didn't mean any disrespect or anything :) I'm honestly hugely impressed with the quality of this game considering it's all fan-made and free to play. The voice acting is superb too. I just started a new job and playing a little of this after my shifts is really keeping me motivated XD
DeleteThat was truly AWESOME! Great job on it, I love it, it was amazing playing it!
ReplyDeleteI just got done playing the game and I gotta say that is was Unbelievably awesome! Can't Wait for Act II
ReplyDeleteI wanted to know if you guys ever planned to release an option to turn off voices, but still keep the music/sound effects. I don't want to be rude to anybody who has voiced the characters, but I think it would at least be a nice option. I'm impressed by the work you guys have put into this.
ReplyDeletePress M during gameplay
DeleteYea, I pressed M once thinking it was to show the map and ended up doing the Rainbow Dash encounter with no voice by accident ^^;
DeleteI played through twice (rather fast the second time, trying to trigger new events). Great fun, can't wait until the next installment! I'd love to see a fullscreen and/or resizeable option.
ReplyDeleteSimple but fun. I dont think i have the ability to wait for the next installment. The "New Pony" story is very intriguing and hooking. just about all voices are pretty spot on. The game was incredibly short, however in that short time, I came to realize that it was amazing and must have more. An option to save, a calander and time system, and a menu to peruse the players inventory would be nice. Also a character relationship gallery. Many things could be done to improve this game, but it obviously is impressive enough to force me to sit here and type all of this. I would like to thank everyone involved for making such s promising and delightful game.
ReplyDeleteGreat job excited for part 2
ReplyDelete1. I think this was boring...
ReplyDelete2. It was like some of the choices didnt matter at all...
Well, it IS the first act. I haven't really seen many good games with large degrees of freedom and an actual story-line (so not including, say, Minecraft) pull off a fully non-linear beginning... in fact, none really come to mind at the moment.
DeleteI DO kinda feel the same, about the choices, that is, and there's times where I think the character's on auto-pilot a bit too long, but I also feel that the FULL repercussions of your actions can't really be noticed... well, not until it ends up creating a maelstrom or paradise.
The focus of the first chapter of anything is to set up characters, settings, plot, etc. I would suggest giving them until Act 2 or 3 so that the plot-train can gain some more momentum.
The game was pretty interesting but short. I was quite excited to see the Doctor was put in as an interactive character!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the next part!
Installed the "latest" version of DirectX and still get the error message. I say latest like that because the links point you to a DirectX from 2010...
ReplyDeleteHm, I'm having an error with mine in Windows 8 where the game freezes for a few seconds, and the text doesn't move / I can't move to the next line. It wouldn't be a big deal if it was every once in awhile, but 30/60 seconds a minute are spent in this frozen state. Has anyone else had this issue?
ReplyDeleteProblem aside, great game!
WOW big game for my computer plus im running on windows 7 home thingy oh btw this is just a google name Ok?
